1st Annual Run The Bluffs 2004
We keep our event cost very low with the goal of giving 100% of the profits to our chosen rescue organizations
Since 2006, we have led the effort to save as many homeless animals as we can. We are 100% volunteer-based so all adoption fees go right back to the animal. We couldn’t do what we do without the help of our fosters. We do not have a physical location so all of our dogs are placed into loving homes for rehabilitation and healing if needed.
About
CACF is committed to helping dogs in need! Colorado Animal Care Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, no kill, animal rescue. Our mission is to rescue helpless in need puppies and dogs and place them in foster homes until they are adopted into new loving forever homes that they so deserve! We rely solely on the kindness and generosity of animal lovers who open their hearts to help us take care of the animal orphans that desperately need help.
Take Action
We are always in need of Donations to help rescue more Animals in Need. Every penny donated goes straight to the animals, not to overhead or expensive salaries. We are 100% Volunteer based and do not have a facility, so you will know where your money is going!

The Colorado Pet Pantry will temporarily feed Colorado pets, allowing families to increase their ability to care for pets with the goal of keeping them out of shelters and with their families.

Every dollar donated to the Colorado Pet Pantry is worth $5 in pet food. Combine that with the fact that your donation helps a pet stay with its family – keeping the dog or cat out of the shelter where it would need to be housed, fed, walked, cared for, and REHOMED – and your donation makes a huge difference!
In 2023, our volunteers helped families-in-need to feed 9 million meals (1,416,877 lbs and 309,011 cans) which equates to feeding 150,000 pets for a full month throughout the state of Colorado.
